Collection: The Under the Sea Collection

Living in the heart of Coogee, I’m incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by the beauty of the sea every day. The ocean has always been a source of inspiration for me, especially during whale season, from July to September. On those special days when you’re lucky enough to spot a whale, it feels like the ocean is sharing a secret with you—a reminder of the wisdom, power, and guidance that these magnificent creatures embody.

This connection to the sea inspired me to create The Under the Sea Collection—a range of origami jewellery that celebrates the grace and strength of whales. Each piece, from whale earrings to necklaces, bracelets and brooch is carefully folded using Japanese washi paper that I’ve handpicked for its symbolic design of waves and soothing shades of blue. These colours and patterns remind me of the calm yet powerful presence of the ocean.

To capture the essence of water, I’ve also chosen sparkling crystals and beads that reflect the light like sunlit waves. Water, with its fluidity and life-giving force, holds deep meaning—representing emotions, intuition, and the flow of life itself.
